From the limestone valleys of Northern Vietnam. Compact hands are very fragrant and spicy. Light beige yellow inside when mature and different than the Yellow Hawaiian/Peru type. From the outside it is nice and pink when young and may look similar to the Bubba Blue. Will make a beautiful presentation to the market when young.

Traditionally grown by the Hmong people at various altitudes in the Cao Bang region of Vietnam it should adapt well. I think this type will make an excellent ginger beer.

Called De’ ginger in the native dialect.
